- It is also the first time I have tasted Orchata the almond and elaichi drink, the first time to try a number of Goan snacks and desserts the names of which I won't even claim to know or remember. - Things that I loved about The Goan kitchen; they are absolutely clear on what they do, who they serve and what their mission is - they serve local regional authentic Goan snacks ( and a few mains on a Sunday) , they serve all cultures and religions, their mission is to celebrate the almost forgotten or endangered Goan recipes. If you can't find a dessert or a snack anywhere else in Goa, and you have a hit of nostalgia to try it - The Goan kitchen is where you will find it. - My favourites were the Chicken roll, prawn rissois, the capsicum stuffed with mince, the prawn balchao and Sannas , and the 3 day aged sorpotel. And in desserts I liked the coconut jelly and the Guava cheese. The Guava cheese or Perada is in my opinion the best I have had in Goa yet. The miss is the serradura n caramel custard. - I see this place taking the internet by storm especially tourists looking for the off beat and hyper local cute cafes with extremely insta friendly interiors. . Wishing the team the best of luck.

One of the best places I've come across in Margao for authentic Goan food, snacks, and sweets! From the rich flavors to the homely presentation, everything here speaks of tradition and taste. A must-visit for anyone craving genuine Goan cuisine. Highly recommended!

The Goan Kitchen is a must visit whether you are from Goa or not. Their food quality and variety is incredible. If you’re looking for nachini bhakri, tender coconut pudding (or so much more that is lesser known) just head here. They probably have the best prawn curry I have found in Goa. The hospitality is amazing!

There are a very few places in Goa that are trying to revive and preserve traditional food and I am glad that Goan kitchen is one of them. Oliver is so passionate about what he does and is going all out to ensure that locals and tourists get to taste the food of Goa. Due to shortage of time I got to only taste their, snacks, savouries and sweets Definitely going again on my next trip to raste their meal. Way to go team The Goan Kitchen my support with you always!

I don't often use the term 'hidden gem', but the Goan Kitchen really is one. Down a side street in Margao, they serve a selection of traditional and modern Goan snacks and desserts, and a daily changing fixed plate menu (which I recommend), all home-made. The vibe is properly Goan, including decor and Konkani music. And Edwin was a most attentive server!

Excellent place. Try everything, and pack some for home too. The lunch menu is excellent and the packaged items are all made in house. A true experience of traditional Goan cooking and products. Special mention to Edwin for his hospitality and taking the time to help us pick the products. Talk to him, take his recommendations, it’s worth it.
